Apply for the AAJA Sacramento/The Sacramento Bee 2016 Internship

In partnership with The Sacramento Bee, AAJA Sacramento is sponsoring a 10-week internship program for aspiring print, photo, graphics and multimedia journalists. A weekly stipend of $400 will be provided. The program begins in May or June 2016, depending on the intern’s availability. Upon completion of the internship, the intern will be eligible for a $1,000 grant from the chapter.

To qualify, an applicant must be enrolled in a college or university. Recent graduates who completed their studies in Fall 2015 are eligible to apply. All applicants must be 2016 AAJA student members. Strong preference will be given to AAJA Sacramento student members. Go to www.aaja.org to join or renew your membership.

The deadline to apply is March 15, 2016. The internship application can be found here.

Members: Apply for a 2016 AAJA Sacramento convention stipend

AAJA Sacramento is offering stipends to help members attend the AAJA National Convention, which will take place in Las Vegas from Aug. 10-13.

The chapter board will inform recipients of their stipend amount. Because funds are limited, priority will be given to applicants who demonstrate active involvement with the chapter. Members receiving full funding from their employers or other organizations are ineligible.

You must be an AAJA Sacramento 2016 member to apply for a stipend. Members are encouraged to take advantage of the early convention registration deadline, which is April 10.  Go to www.aaja.org to renew your AAJA membership and to register for the convention.

The deadline to apply for the stipend is March 15, 2016. Download the stipend application here.
