AAJA is celebrating its 40th year with a virtual convention, themed “Boldly Moving Forward, Proudly Looking Back,” Aug. 24-28, 2021.
And as it did in 2020, AAJA Sacramento is again opening its convention stipend program for paid 2021 chapter members.

The internship is a partnership between the chapter and the paper that is marking its 12th year.
Isabella, who is a member of the AAJA San Francisco Bay Area Chapter, is an audio and print reporter based in Northern California who has been covering how the COVID-19 pandemic affects underserved communities. She is a first-year student studying investigative journalism at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.
In partnership with The Sacramento Bee, AAJA Sacramento is sponsoring a paid 10-week internship program for aspiring journalists. The program begins in May or June 2021.
