Media Access Workshop on April 28 for Nonprofits and Community Organizations

The Sacramento Chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association in partnership with Comcast is holding a media access workshop. Professional journalists and public relations experts will coach nonprofit organizations and individuals about how to get their news covered.

Participants will learn how to pitch a news story, how to do a television interview, and how social media can be an effective tool in getting their stories told.

The workshop will start with a panel discussion. The workshop will move into small groups where participants will gain hands-on practice conducting a television interview. The event is free and open to the public.
